Activities

Advanced Applications of Optical Sensors

Sponsored by the President of the University of Technology Dr. Ameen Dawai Thamer, the Department of Laser and Optoelectronics Engineering - Optoelectronics Engineering Branch organized the scientific seminar (advanced applications of optical sensors), which was held on the graduate hall in our department on Thursday 25/4/2019 . The seminar was opened with the national anthem and reading verses from the Holy Quran. The workshop included two sessions, the first session included two lectures, the first (Photonic fiber fibers sensors) and the second lecture entitled (Visual sensors for surface technology of surface surveying). It was delivered by Dr. (Makram Abdul Muttalib Fakhri) and Dr. (Muthanna Ammar) The meeting was moderated by Prof. Dr. Abdul Hadi Kazem as Chairman and  Dr. Razi Jabr Shagheit as the Rapporteur. At the end of the seminar's recommendations were written and certificates of appreciation were distributed.

(Synthesis and characteristics of gold nanoparticles / Epoxy polymer Nano composite material)

In the magazine (IOP Conf. Series: Journal of Physics) and classified within the containers of Scopas and in conjunction with the student (Noor Zaid) and Dr. (Raja Abdul Amir Madlul).

The research examined the effect of gold nanoparticles on the structural and spectral properties of the gold and epoxy mixtures.

The assistant of a professor (Ali Hadi Abdel Moneim) faculty member in our department published a research entitled:

(A comparative study of optical quality for different polymeric contact Lenses)

In the magazine (IOP Conf. Series: Journal of Physics), classified within the containers of Scopas and in partnership with the student (Lina Mohammed Shaker) and Dr. (Ahmed Abdul Amir Hussein).

The research examined the comparative study of the optical efficiency of lenses made of different polymeric materials in order to obtain the best visual vision of the eye.

Patent

Faculty member (Prof. Dr. Ali Hadi Abdel Moneim) obtained a patent from the Ministry of Planning / Central Agency for Standardization and Quality Control numbered (5883) on 26/8/2019 and entitled (Preparation of nanostructures against reflection and has the ability to self-cleaning solar cells using Titanium dioxide).

 

Paper published

Prof. Khaled Salem Shabib - Administrative Assistant in our department and student (Duha Shaker Abdul) have been published a scientific research in the Journal of Medical Sciences issued by Springer Foundation and index within the base Clarvet and high impact coefficient has been to find the optical specifications of tissues using the inverse method of heat transfer, which gives way The field to know the behavior of the laser when interfering with the tissue.
