The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit in the Department of Laser and Optoelectronics Engineering held a workshop on (First Aid) on Tuesday 10/29/2024 in the department hall under the supervision of the assistant lecturer (Ruaa Shaker Mahmoud), the unit’s head, and in cooperation with the White Line Volunteer Team affiliated with the Office of the Minister of Health - Government Coordination and Volunteer Work Division.

The workshop addressed guiding undergraduate students on how to deal with the patient, and how to provide first aid to the injured person or the paramedic himself. The method of using special first aid devices such as a blood pressure monitor, a pulse oximeter, and a blood sugar meter was also explained.

The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit in the Department of Laser and Optoelectronics Engineering held an awareness workshop entitled (Gender) on Thursday, 10/31/2024, in the department hall, targeting junior students / Laser Engineering Branch / Evening Study.

The workshop was given by Assistant Lecturer (Ruaa Shaker Mahmoud), Head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, who addressed the importance of protecting society from calls and manifestations of decadence and perversion, due to its importance and dangers to society, especially the youth.

The Career Development Center, in cooperation with the Graduate Follow-up Unit in the Department of Laser and Optoelectronics Engineering, held an introductory seminar on Wednesday, 10/23/2024, at the central hall of the Department of Control and Systems Engineering, targeting final-year students in our department, with the aim of introducing them to the objectives and activities of the Career Development Center and employment mechanisms and preparing them before graduation to work in the private sector companies in the Iraqi labor market.
The lecture was given by Mr. (Mohammad Al-Bayati), Head of the Communication and Employment Unit in the Career Development Center - Office of the Scientific Assistant, in the presence of Lecturer Dr. (Taif Aied Faisal), Head of the Graduate Follow-up Unit in the department, and a large number of senior students who interacted positively with the lecture, as the students were introduced to the Career Development Center and its objectives, the students were also introduced to the mechanisms for developing students' skills in the practical aspect were discussed, and employment mechanisms in the private sector were identified and explained with great motivation and details.
