Defense of the master's thesis of the student Hussein Ali Qasim
The Department of Laser and Optoelectronics Engineering awarded a master's degree to a student ( Husain Ali Qassim) majoring in Optoelectronics Engineering for his thesis entitled:
(A smart environmental fiber optic sensor based on surface plasmon resonance)
On Monday 3/2/2025, the aim of the thesis is to determine the new characteristics of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensors to measure the moisture ratio in inhalation and exhalation to detect the impact of various changes on the human respiratory system, the results obtained from the thesis is to integrate artificial intelligence with optical fiber sensors based on surface plasmon resonance and by combining artificial intelligence and optoelectronics engineering, this approach enhances the performance of the sensor and demonstrates the potential of artificial intelligence applications in engineering, medical and technological fields.
The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Makram Abdulmuttalib Fakhry as chair, Prof. Dr. Razi Gabr Shughaith, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdulkhalek Abdulhadi, Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Hussein Ali, Prof. Dr. Suhad Abdulrahman Youssef, and Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Hussein Ali.
